Operational and financial considerations for the analysis of the acquisition of an electric vehicle for personal use

Abstract
Worldwide, efforts are being made to modify the vehicle fleet in various countries to a fleet operated by sustainable energies, such as electric vehicles; however, users are not always aware of the appropriate conditions to switch from a combustion vehicle to an electric vehicle.
This article analyzes the operational and financial considerations that should be considered when purchasing an electric vehicle for personal use.
For the analysis, the user is first characterized, with this being a decisive factor, as the proposed evaluation is based on how the vehicle adapts to the user's needs and not on how the user should adapt to the vehicle; then the operating conditions of the selected electric vehicle are analyzed and compared with the user's characterization, to determine whether it meets the operational needs; finally, analysis is performed from a financial point of view, taking into consideration the initial and operating costs, to determine the recovery of investment and whether it is profitable according to the user's characterization.
The article concludes with an analysis of an example of the financial operating behavior for the acquisition of a new vehicle.
