SUGEF REGULATIONS IN COSTA RICA

Abstract

The General Superintendency of Financial Entities (SUGEF) regulates the Costa Rican financial system with the goal of ensuring stability, transparency, and risk prevention. However, for entrepreneurs and small businesses, these regulations can represent significant barriers to access to financing and regulatory compliance. This article critically analyzes the impact of current regulations and proposes alternatives for a more inclusive system.
