Abstract

The main objective of this project is to carry out an analysis of the possible implications of applying an early withdrawal to the accounts of the Mandatory Complementary Pension Regime.

In the first instance, an analysis of the current regulatory situation at the date of the study was carried out, identifying the parameters and scenarios allowed for the consumption of ROPC resources. As well as consult the experience of the application of these withdrawals and their consequences in other Latin American countries.

To determine the population's acceptance of an eventual approval of early withdrawals to individual accounts, several information analysis tools were used, such as surveys and interviews, as well as calculations to determine the impact on the accounts that apply a withdrawal compared to the ones that don't.

Additionally, a series of recommendations were generated to avoid the negative effects of the bill that promotes authorizing early withdrawals, among which the creation of financial education programs stands out, through which information on savings, loans and pensions is provided, thus emphasizing the importance of valuing that pension resources were created to strengthen the retirement stage.
